This thing really impressed. I knew it was going to be a cheaper option compaired to a Dewalt or Milwaukee and honestly wasn't expecting much, but it performed brilliantly. The Downside: The batteries take some time to charge and they aren't compatable with other battery systems. The plastic is a little cheaper than expected. You can push on the battery for example and see the plastic flex. The safety glasses are abismal. The Upside: Price/value is good, You get two batteries do last a long time. I pruned up 2 dozen trees on the charge of one battery, comes with 2 replacement chains and bar. lightweight, fairly ergonomic, the chain tightener is a really nice design, and power. I didn't expect the saw to have much power, but it managed o cut through a 6" white oak limb (really tough) with no problems. Overall: Impressed 5/5
So far, I like this saw & the accompanying items like the gloves & glasses. Both batteries ?? came with enough juice to try the saw out immediately. After reading a few reviews I was skeptical but I decided to try it out for myself.1st project was to trim back a tree that our home's builder planted too close to the house. My fear is that critters will use the tree ?? to easily access the roof and seek shelter in our attic. The saw was almost long enough to reach the gutter of our two story home, but I pulled out a small ladder and was able to reach the thin limb. The saw works well while using both hands to trim however it can be somewhat top heavy while using one hand ???��? to reach some places. The weight can be an advantage though because gravity helps to push downwards on branches thus assisting with a follow through motion.I noticed that it drinks oil like a pirate ?? drinks rum ??.The oil reservoir is very small & needed to be filled often.I suggest buying a small bottle of oil before receiving the saw.The cost of this tool is just a little more than renting one from a hardware store so I figured why not give it a go.I really appreciate the power level display and being able to use the saw as a mini tool or attached to the pole, it's versatile and I can't wait to tackle my next project with it!

Oh my, this little power house exceed all expectation. After learning how to tighten chain after a couple slipped off, it was smooth sailing cutting down some tree limbs. Batteries excellent, last long. I have no complaints. I would buy again if need to.
Unless you are in the habit or business of cutting down large trees daily, this chain saw works amazingly well. Whether used as a hand chain saw or with extension, it's light enough to hold above your head easily. The chain is sharp and has the right cut speed, and adjustments to the tension, which needs to be done periodically is super easy. The extension is long enough that I can reach most tree branches without a ladder. On top of all this, the price is great. Do pay attention to keep full the chain oil chamber from your first use on.
This is an ideal combo pack!! The pole reaches 16 with ease. The weight of each piece is not excessive and the combined weight when connected is comfortable for continued use. The saw is well balanced and makes a clean, even cut. Saw is easy to maneuver either by itself or attached to the pole. Saw has sufficient power to cut branches/limbs/trees of large circumference. Only weakness is the saw does use a lot of oil, but it is not a deal breaker.on the contrary, it reminds me to take periodic breaks to check oil level/refill.

Good value for price. Finally a user manual with print large enough to read. A trouble shooting section would be very useful. The chain tension mechanism is a nice feature. Other saws use a small screw adjacent to the blade that is a PITA to use properly, With this pole saw one can actually over-tension the chain. Which I did. The battery appeared to discharge very quickly, the saw performed poorly and the self oiler was not working. All of these problems were solved when I dialed down the chain tension. The battery monitor is nice and helped gauge the chain tension. A more informative user manual should explain the use of these features and prevent unnecessary returns.
With the pole, just a little more complicated when used that way. Otherwise, I have used it twice!
I was skeptical. Told the son get ready to box back up and return. Then I was in joy. It's legit 8 inch chain saw pruner. Surface for 5-6 inch tree cuts. As well the ease of pruning all trees is immense. And they give you an extra shield and two extra chain blades. Yes keep the oil filled. But this guy is the ticket. Two batteries as well. Well worth the price
This thing is amazing does why it needs to do I cut down 2 trees about 20 feet high and the trump was about 12 inches width in about 2 hours down to pieces and all of it fit in the green garbage can this thing is amazing
Was very easy to assemble and use. I used the extension pole first and the just the chainsaw by hand. Worked great, the chain was nice and sharp
This is a perfect electric pole saw! Works great, very comfortable to handle, battery hold the charge very good. Cut two old apple trees and was so happy doing it! Used the pole to cut high branches - and it works really well! Highly recommend!
I liked this electric saw. I ran it for numerous cuts, mostly small (2" dia) and larger (6"+ diameter). No major issues with functionality as I used the saw (but see item (c.) below re "insufficient instructions").I liked especially: 1.) Price is good. 2.) Comes with 2 batteries, and each has its own digital status displaying % charge remaining/available. This maximizes saw use (i.e., 1 battery charging, while other is in use).Other Issues. (a.) Battery recharging is slow. (b.) Lubricant oil useage is excessive and empties the small oil reservoir too quickly to be practical. (c.) "Insufficient Instructions" are essentually non-existent." This was my biggest complaint. I have used gasoline chain saws for cutting tree branches before, and was able to figure some things out - by trial and error. But each chain saw is different and this one is electric. (d.) There are buttons for setting the bar/chain angle for best cutting angle (apparently, so blade teeth do not abruptly "Grab" the wood and repeatedly stop the saw). (e.) Setting the proper chain tightness vs. slackness (within the groove on chain bar) is needed; this is very important to safety, chain heat & chain wear.
1 test ,4in limb, it cut then stop I would position it a little it start again the stop and start and so on. The oil reservoir was filled but emptied quickly. Works a little better off the pole but the chain is not very sharp. Going to sharpen the chain and see how that goes. Even the cheapest saw will cut good with right and sharp chain. I like the lite weight compa8to my good one and being able to adjust the angle is a game changer. Not powerful compared to my other Pole saw but Ill make it work.
Exactly as advertised, good value for the money, batteries last a long time, I cut down a rose of Sharon bush that was dead, and cut it up in smaller pieces so it would fit in my truck, and the battery charge was still at 100%, this pole saw has plenty of power, and is easy to use, the perfect size to work with, and there are a number of different ways that you can use it. I knocked off a star because the oiler function is not working.
